l.e.d playtime..
Design time....At the moment I’m thinking about making a garment combining new technologies such as led lighting with lazar cut fabric perhaps after being digitally printed.
I though I would start off by seeing how different fabrics react to my L.E.D lighting….
After taking the pictures I’ve started to think about creating shadow I really like the textures created from the illumination, however looking at shadow is going to be a big subject to tackle….perhaps something to look at in my next project
Lazar cutting...
Now i'v had a play around with photography i'v started to think about manipulating these images agging more layers and introducing new technologys......
i started off by didgitally printing some of my images onto a polyester and then having a go at the lazar cutter engraving and mirroring images onto my textile piece.

drawing with sparklers....
.
Here are just a few of my sparkler experiments using a slow shutter. i really like the way the movement and the light is captured however with practice i think i could create some really interesting images.....i was thinking of developing this idea of light for garments and capturing movement using the slowshutter speed method for video. prehaps creating a sculptural garment out of lighting (leds or even optic fibers) and then showing the movement of the dress through video....

light dress
This amazing LED light dress from HUSSAIN CHALAYAN has taken me a step further with my current project given me ideas about how new technologies can be adapted within the fashion world, likewise with his lazar dress collection for Swarvoski.
i love how the fabric blurs the lights to create an almost ghostly effect. This image connects well with my photographs and has shown me how i can involve fabric to play with blurring lighting.
